This is the mathematically highest number of perfect throws that can be played in one leg, so this record can only be equaled, but not beaten. Phil Taylor holds the record with a total of eleven perfect legs in front of television cameras. In the 2000s, the number of 9-darters – as well as the big darts tournaments – increased sharply, after which the premiums were significantly reduced.
