In qualifying, she advanced to the final, losing to Scotland by 41 runs and qualifying for the 2015 Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. The Emirates won the ACC Trophy in Malaysia after beating Oman by 94 runs in the final. She shared the title with Nepal at the 2012 ACC Trophy Elite after the final ended in a draw. Due to stricter national team regulations, the Emirates were unable to repeat their 1994 success, finishing tenth at the 1997 ICC Trophy in Malaysia. In October 2010, the association hired Kabir Khan as the new national coach. Khan had previously enjoyed great success in his year-long tenure as coach of Afghanistan, leading their national team to ODI status. This was followed by a draw against Scotland and a loss against Ireland, again by an innings, after Eoin Morgan set a new Irish record of 209 runs without losing a wicket.
