Buruj Sports Academy in Ikorodu, Lagos, joyfully celebrated the return of 14 year old Raheem Salaudeen from a developmental tour in Morocco with Nigeria’s U15 national team. The academy organised a warm welcome for Salaudeen, highlighting the pride they take in his achievements.

Salaudeen was one of 26 players selected through a rigorous three-phase process under the 2024 NFF/FIFA Technical Development Scheme for U15 players, which initially scouted 120 talents. The tour, held from December 10 to 15, included two friendly matches against Moroccan youth teams, ending in a 2-0 loss and a 1-1 draw for the Nigerian side.

Reflecting on his experience, Salaudeen described it as transformative. “Travelling with the team and representing Nigeria is an experience I cannot describe. I am very happy and thank God for everything,” he said.

The celebration at Academy underscored the institution’s commitment to nurturing future football stars. Salaudeen’s success has served as an inspiration for his peers, reinforcing the academy’s reputation as a hub for developing Nigerian football talent.
